Coffee cuts Prostate Cancer risk

>> Friday, April 30, 2010

Regular Coffee Consumption Can Reduce Risk of Prostate Cancer in healthy males. The U.S. is responsible for more than a third of coffee consumption worldwide peaking at 400 million cups every single day, and studies show that Coffee Consumption is not only a goot part of a healthy diet, but "Overall, the research shows that coffee is far more healthful than it is harmful,” says Dr. Tomas DePaulis, research scientist at Vanderbilt University’s Institute for Coffee Studies.

A study by researchers from the Channing Laboratory at the Harvard Medical School and the Harvard School of Public Health, was based on an analysis of information from the Health Professionals’ Follow-Up Study, which included data on the coffee-drinking habits of about 50,000 men from 1986 to 2006. The men who drank the most coffee (six or more cups per day) were nearly 60 percent less likely to develop advanced prostate cancer. I'll have another cup!
